Three layered brass bound set by George Tiemann of New York. The set has the red label with the address 63 Chatham St. The larger knives are thinner curved delicate blade and the saw is a Parker "D" handled saw. All of the smaller scalpels and tenaculums are ivory handled. Most of the instruments as well as the tourniquet are marked Tiemann. The trephine handle is bone,. Circa 1850 -1855.
