Two layered minor surgical set labeled with label by Codman & Shurtleff 13 Tremont St. Boston.. The instruments in the set , however, are made by Tiemann. Codman & Shurtleff were distributers for sets left over from the war. This set has a sliding latch in the front typical of a war set and the label on the exterior is inscribed with the name F.G. Atkins MD. Circa 1857 - 1870.
