Gorgeous four tiered set by Tiemann 67 Chatham St. N.Y. containing surgical instruments for general surgery as well as bone exsecting. Missing mallet and urinary instrument but otherwise complete. All instruments are marked Tiemann including the tourniquet which is heavily blood stained.on the strap. The lock is functional with the key; The interior of the case is lined with purple velvet. There is a leather carrying case into which the box fits.Circa 1865 - 1870.
