Two-layered set of surgical instruments for Neurosurgery and Amputations in a beautiful lining of red velvet by Ferguson of London. The Set also contains a nice bullet forcep. The address on the tourniquet says Ferguson, 21 Giltspur Street, London. All instruments are marked by the maker. There is a note that this set was purchased by Dr. Huse of Riverford, Ill. in about 1850 and given to H.R. by one of Dr. Huse's sons. W.W. Huse in 1914. The brass cartouche on the exterior of the case is labeled H.C.H. Malden. Circa 1828- 1850.
