Two-layered set by A.M. Leslie of St Louis, Missouri with provenance to Dr. C.P. Lee. Complete except for the tourniquet. A very nice bullet forcep present. Instruments marked with makers name.
The brass cartouche on the exterior has C.P. Lee inscribed upon it. Dr. Lee was born in 1827. He attended the Univ of Mich. medical school and graduated in 1854. In 1862 he enlisted a private in Company K 49th regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry and was promoted to Asst. Surgeon. After the war, he went to Kansas in 1870 and finally located in Pleasonton, Missouri in 1874. Circa 1880.
