Beautiful brass cornered rosewood set by A.M. Leslie of St. Louis. Lift out tray withy three amputation knives, a smaller scalpel and two tenaculums. The lower layer contains a bow saw and two different type of rongeurs. The saw has two different sized blades. The larger knives and instruments in the lower level are all marked. A portion of the label is still present with the lower half remaining. The key is present and works. Circa 1856 -1891.
