Beautiful brass bound oak, three tiered marine set by John Weiss & son of London. Side swing latches secure the set. The exterior brass escutcheon is engraved F. Fedard RN ( Royal Navy).The set contains instruments necessary to perform most surgeries of the day including extraction of teeth. Two matching tourniquets are present and the ebony handled instruments are press marked Weiss. Two brass inserts in the anterior body of the set are marked John Weiss & Son and 287 Oxfords, London circa 1885.
