Three layered boxed set with Leather case by Chas W. Kolbe of Phil, Pa. Chas was one of the sons of Deitrich Kolbe who passed away in 1878. Chas and his brother continued to manufacture surgical instruments at the 9th street location until 1880. At this time, Louis, the elder brother, moved D.W, Kolbe to Arch Street. Chas stayed at the 9th street address until 1900.The set is a partial set. circa 1880.
