This leather cased set was a presentation set. The interior of the set is engraved with the maker's name. J. Weiss 62 Strand, London. There are twelve ivory-handled knives, bistouries and tenaculums all marked Weiss. The top tray lifts out to reveal a lower tray holding a finger forcep but missing other instruments. The silver presentation plate on the top of the set is engraved. " Bristol Medical School presented to Harman Visger May 1879.
