Smooth black leather cased pocket set with interior makers label of W. Eyers Surgical & Dental Instruments 137 E. 23rd St. N.Y.. It's a twelve piece set which includes 3 double bladed scalpels with tortoise shell handles. The set appears to be complete. Inside the side pocket is a packet of surgeon's thread with the label that this belongs to the office of Charles C. Duryee M.D. Dr. Duryee was the mayor of the city of Schenectady, N.Y. during the years of 1898 - 1900 and 1912 - 1914. This set was made circa 1884 -1891.
