Lessor boxed set of ebony handled Surgical instruments which are all marked Hernstein. The tourniquet is not marked. The russet velvet divider has the stamped Hernstein identical to the one in Edmonson's book on page 89. There are several pieces missing. The set is a key-locked set indicating that it was for domestic use rather than on the field. Key is missing. Circa 1855 -1861.
